United Club ORD Concourse WW

Soup

Potatoes, corn, peas and other sorted vegetables in a tomato base.

Salad

Carrot, tomato, chickpeas with a Tomato basil couscous over greens.

Cajun style rice with shrimp and andoille sausage. Nice and spicy. I couldn’t believe I actually found shrimp in my serving.

I really like united clubs that have a hot food option like this. Its great they have healthy options like salad and they do it really well but sometimes you want something a bit more than salad.

At breakfast the hot food option is oatmeal which I definitely partake but a lot of clubs just don’t have anything hot the rest of the day!

United Club EWR C Concourse Concourse

The one with the glass bowl view of the food court down below

Seats are tough to find and the food is awkwardly setup around the bar where bottlenecks in foot traffic are easy.

Food options are healthier

Mixed greens with chickpeas and a very tasty s salsa. I don’t even use salad dressing as the salad is already quite flavorful!

two soup options

Italian wedding

not my favorite of soups. It tasted a lot like chicken noodle soup. Very salty. The meatballs are a welcome addition but from my experience they are hard to come by in real life as most people try and grab as many as they can when they serve themselves.

Southwestern vegetarian chill

I added some tortilla chips and parmesan cheese. It was really good. Zesty flavor and hearty beans and vegetables.

United Club IAH Houston B Concourse

The united club in concourse b is a bit hidden. If you’re not paying attention you’ll walk right by it. It’s hiding to the right of a huge flight status display. There are some stairs and a small elevator.

Their hours are pretty bad only open 5:30 am to 9:00 pm. So don’t plan on coming before a red eye.

Its got a pretty weird layout. A long hallway with small rooms on the right side for seating…

There are also some areas on the left where there are small individual work cubicles.

in the back there is a big open room with seating and the bar.

There is food served on the wall opposite the car. When I was there they were serving breakfast. The food is pretty standard at all united clubs but I’ve found there are slight regional variations. I guess I just assumed that their would be parity within an airport where they have multiple lounges but I immediately found different food options between C and B clubs.

There’s the oatmeal, the pastries, yogurt and fruit….

However there’s were also these nice little remade parfaits. I tend to make myself something like this using the fruit, yogurt and granola but if you’re in a hurry I guess this is nice.

However its still prepared in a glass container so you’re not leaving with that. One thing I’ll do if I’m in a real hurry but still want breakfast is to take a paper coffee cup and build a parfait or oatmeal on that and leave. You can alarmist always find a plastic silverware set outside the club. Unfortunately the clubs usually only stock metal silverware.

I also noticed that B club had fruit loops as an additional cereal option. That should make the kids (or the kid-at-heart, like me) happy.

The bar is one of the more spacious ones as the big room featured in this lounge provides for good flow of foot traffic.

United Club IAH Houston C Concourse

I arrived after my red eye from Seattle. No showers. For that you’ll have to go to E concourse in IAH.

The breakfast is well stocked. I tend to stick to oatmeal and a self made parfait.

I haven’t figured out the fruit options. They vary from airport to airport. Here in Houston we had honeydew, watermelon and grapes.

Vanilla yogurt and granola for the self made parfait….yum!!!

Standard fare as far as oatmeal goes. Some clubs have walnuts or shaved almonds. Unfortunately not in Houston.

Caught them in between refilling the white death. I try and stay away from this stuff. Honestly I wish they had more an italian breakfast: salad greens, oil and vinegar.

The lighting at the bar was really cool. This bar is really big and nice.

Double draft bays with loads and loads of draft beer options. Impressive.
